there was, but when i found it recently i noticed that he had moved the pics so those do not show up in the thread which makes it difficult to follow when you read it

Thanks Naughty. I'd like to give it a go anyway. Could you (or JimGore) post a link please.

There is a build thread somewhere but as naughty said - it's nearly impossible to follow because the pictures no longer show. Tell you what tho: after I get my room sorted out and the hifi hooked up again you can come over for a listen and I will tell you everything you want to know. How's that sound?

You make an offer that I cannot resist.

Not really a chicken or a man named Robert, surprised?

Great seeing your pics again Ian. Fantastic finishing you do, I'm always in awe, knowing what it takes.

@Michon
Do a search for inConcert Miles and you will see a towering stack of HE drivers in unfinished mdf that an overseas admirer of JG posted somewhere.
It's only hifi people....

When I was a kid I thought myself an author, until I read Steven Erickson's works. Knew I'd never be able to top that so I gave up.

Guess I won't work wood anymore. :P

Good sentiment - bad attitude!  :ticked:
It is by standing on the shoulders of giants like Ian that we too can hopefully reach the stars. Be inspired to exceed your current personal limitations.

mmmm i now see where they were hiding the speaker whisperer  ;D

As someone who recently made his own TV stand and pumped 40 man hours into it to create a "decentish" stand i am gobsmacked at the attention to detail in the builds. That detail is literally a a clock running away from you that is tough to catch.

I am also very jealous of that workshop space  :notworthy:
Very impressive creations. Must be a amazing sense of achievement when the build turns out just right !!!

Thanks everyone for your kind words!

I am also very jealous of that workshop space  :notworthy:

I have a double garage for my woodwork shop, and a small little room at the back where I do the machining things. That's only for the past 2.5 years - before that I only had a tiny single garage at my townhouse. Most of the builds you see here were done in that little workshop. When I say little, I mean that it was so small that 2 people crowded the place.

Space is awesome, but not a requirement!

Kind regards,
Ian.

I had the pleasure of seeing some of Ian's craftsmanship first hand when he was still at his townhouse. He says it was a small garage, that may be but it was one of the most well set out and organised wood shops I've seen. Also had a listen to his giant HE speakers with a sub woofer built into his roof trusses. I was awesome.Keep up the good work Ian.How is Paladin doing?
