I have a pair of Wharfedale W30d , which thanks to Mr Kassler for sending me a replacement driver , have a new lease on life.
I dont know how to describe the way they sound. Put on a flac version of the doors greatest hits , and they love the drums.
Put something more modern or busy on and they almost sound like they are getting a bit confused and sometimes sound a tad harsh and wish they could fill the upper mid/lower high range a bit better. (They are 8 inch woofer/tweeter combo)

Anyways, I think Ill hang onto these for a while.
The grills are in excellent condition and are like a silver/black/grey combo.
The veneer isnt to bad either but has some nics.
The plan is to patch up the nics and either paint /wood stain them black.I would prefer to stain them black as I think that will retain the veneer's look a bit better, however, Im concerned that if I go that route , it might lift and create an uneven surface.
What do I do here as I dont like the brown, I also wouldnt mind staining them to a similar colour of my rosenut MA B2's , but the fear of lifting is there.
