Leaving Feedback following a sale/purchase
« on: June 23, 2010, 02:51:56 PM »
To the moderators:
Would you guys be able to start something like what they have on Audiogon, where you can leave feedback, both seller and purchaser? This makes it a safer place.
I think this is done also on Bid or Buy.
What do the rest think?

For the Classifieds section? You'd need to ask Kay if it's possible - he handles all the bits and bobs of the Forum from the operational side of things.

Yup, for the classifieds section. Is this the wrong place for this thread? If so would you move it?

Egad, I may destroy it by accident. If I do, I'll email Kay and tell him about the request, though.

Hey guys - moved it to site discussion, I think it's the most appropriate :)

I have looked into this, there are add-ons that create entire online market places which are much better than posting individual threads. I haven't so far found one which is good enough and compatible with the existing forum software (SMF) but these things change over time, so definitely worth another look.

I'll keep you posted.

Thanks, would be great. When buying used from far and not being able to inspect, it helps. Otherwise I have had to get people I know to inspect.

come guy - its just as easy here too ..... under all the stats it clearly states submit feedback for "XYZ" here

see the pic if it helps - the bit you are looking for is encircled in red to make it even easier  ;)

once you click on that you can submit your positive (or negative) feedback regarding your transaction in this particular form .... please select the correct options from the drop down menus regarding whether you are the seller or the buyer and whether your feedback is positive or negative, and you can provide a link to the sale thread, as well as provide long and short comments on how good/bad a trader a person is

You can leave a positive score any time, this is how

Read the post relating to sale or offer that was made (suggest in the Classified's section), ie  http://www.avforums.co.za/index.php/topic,59109.0.html

Click on the name of the poster.  Another window opens
In the centre, second from the bottom, is a prompt "Submit feedback for xxxxx"
Click on this
Chose buyer, seller, or trade
Choose positive or negative
Write some suitable words
For the topic URL, you can leave that blank or copy and paste the link above
Click "Submit feedback"

The poster then receives an email telling him you have submitted feedback

Or simply click on the figure after "Trade Count:" below the person's name, then scroll down, click on "Submit feedback for xxx". Finish as described above.
