Fact is that most modern behavioural studies clearly show that punishment/reward play absolutely no role in behaviour, except for setting a bad example as described in the before-mentioned article. In our house we have never spanked either of our kids and we feel so strongly about it that we would go as far as to meet with the principal and if needed, press charges against any teacher who lays his/her hands on our kids. Any thoughts on this?
