Excellent build Robert! I'm now thinking of building a tube and convert my square box sub! What material did you use on the outside? And did you apply it directly to the wood?

Thx for a great post!

Hey Crustyy,

The material was carpet from one of those car shops, dodgy one in PTA CBD area.
We used contact adhesive to glue it to the sonotubes, which was a mission because of the sheer size of the thing.
But patience and redoing it a few times to not have any bubbles paid off.

Bottom end-cap installed

View of top-cap with port tubes installed

Speakon connector installed

Driver bolted in

Base attached with 4 long bolts made from threaded rod with grippy rubber feet glued on.

The leg posts where provided verniet by Oradba69  :)

Some shots of the completed subs at Anton's place.

Response measurement at Anton's:

Really smooth and a natural house curve without any EQ at all. (Includes speakers, xo @ 80Hz)

The subs sound great and have plenty of power. I'm very pleased with the end results  ;D

I would like to thank everyone who assisted me with this build!

When you told me about these over the weekend I thought I should have a peek and I have to say "Thumbs up". That looks freakin AWESOME man!

Congrats on a job very well done
