More than a year later.. but I've finally started this thing.

First the history.. From dutchdog to bizkit:

I stumbled across some circles I'd cut some time ago in the garage and thought I'd measure them to see if they would do the job. Well whatdya know; they fit perfectly when cut in half. So first up, a bit of cutting and rounding:

Then a bit of water/glue sealing. I'm on about my 4th layer now:

Man whatever wood they used for the cabinets is just sucking up this mixture... much more so than the supawood.

2 questions:
Can I use normal wood filler to fill up the tiny gaps left on the sides of the cabinets where i put the plugs in?
Will the same wood filler be ok to fill up the grill holes in the front (seeing as I don't have the grills)?
My idea is to apply a matt black paintjob to end off with.
