Gorgeous looking table - I'm sure it sounds just as good as it looks!

Thorens TD150 MkI re-plinth.

On the doktors table: Thorens TD150 MkI re-plinth.
This one came in without a plinth. The client brought me the turntable motor unit and some fittings. It's been a long journey and the result is excellent (if I might say so myself  :cleansound: ).
I also serviced the turntable and re-set the suspension that was completely out of whack.
The plinth is a hefty Kiaat plinth that has been corner braced and with a solid 12mm baseboard. The finish is a satin poly-wax.

Adding finish

In play

Rest on Dustcover

That looks incredible! Well done, Doktor...
I love music - analog and digital. Even listening to the Blues makes me happy. During the day I coach and counsel, after hours I indulge in my second passion - listening to vinyl and restoring turntables. Some I keep, some I sell...

I hope you don't mind me posting these progress pics.

It does give some insight into the amount of elbow grease involved in getting to the final stunner.

Oh My, that is fine!

Desirability slightly reduced by of the risk of seeing my face in it, though.

+1 Same here.
