How do we get in touch with this magician?
Thank goodness he only took 1 eye and not 1 ear!

What is a thumbsuck price to service a Linn Sondek LP12?  Working order but not touched since 1985. Has an SME arm

Chris, simply closing any windows in the vicinity of the table will be an instant upgrade and improvement.Even the lightest Spring breeze makes them go tati.

Got some details here: www.turntableguy.co.za and if you want a running commentary  :point: www.facebook.com/turntableguy

I would have took. I mainly judge prices on the list price of the car that drops off  :point:

Seriously though. It would really depend on what the table needs... Linn parts are not cheap but at least they are readily available  :2thumbs:

For clients that are willing to PAY I even rub down Linn cables with Tiger balm and treat the complete unit holistically with Impepho (to ward off bad Hamish Robertson spirits)...

I had a guy arrive on an old scooter that wouldn't start when he left - I had to push him down the road, with the turntable on his knees.
(At least it was only a Kenwood...).
I love music - analog and digital. Even listening to the Blues makes me happy. During the day I coach and counsel, after hours I indulge in my second passion - listening to vinyl and restoring turntables. Some I keep, some I sell...

I am just loving the sound of this cart  :2thumbs:  :2thumbs:  :2thumbs:

It's an Audiophile thing. In real life they call it insecurity.

I send insecure audiophiles to BK. He makes them ginger tea and then brings out his hot wife to listen in. After some listening with earnest back-patting and some positive affirmation they leave as real men.

Ace  :2thumbs:  :2thumbs:  :2thumbs:

:ROFLMAO: I am just getting a carbon-fibre butt-plug made up to go with the table  :BWAHAHAH:  :sulky:  :Ooooooh:
