To the left of Greens in High Constantia shopping centre there used to be a Thai restaurant.  A new one has opened and outside, the umbrellas have Beau Wine on them.  I have been there twice for lunch, the menu is adequate, the food beautifully presented, the chef knows her stuff and the house wine, at R14,00 a glass, is excellent

A 200gm steak of your choice + chips and veg costs R 65,00 at lunch and I mentioned to the owner that I thought this was too cheap but she said it is their opening lunch specials and they hope to encourage people to visit for dinner in the downstairs restaurant

We also discussed meat and she knows what she is talking about, they offer 3 different beef breeds including two imported ones, obviously the standard local beef is the cheapest and it goes up in price as the quality increases. She agreed 100% with me when I told her that South Africans only like meat with no fat and this is the reason why it is so ordinary, beef should be marbled with fat to be good

I also checked other items on the menu, the prices are reasonable and affordable, the wine list is excellent so we definitely will go back, especially for us seating outside on nice day

And btw on the starter menu they have snails.

You also get a white table cloth with napkins which to me is important
