Filled up an ipod with music today, used JRiver, all the music FLAC and what a pleasure it was to choose songs, playlists,convert (lossless)and transfer to my ipod without using iTunes. Quick and painless without the extra storage and jumping through loopholes, etc hassles.
Other thing I enjoyed is that all the cover art of artists on compilations is displayed on my ipod, e.g. like the local radio station, Heart 104.9 collections - this cover art is not found even by JRiver and other search engines.
