PM notifications
« on: August 13, 2015, 09:48:54 AM »
Dear mods,

Since the last forum software upgrade, "My Messages" no longer show any notifications of new messages of any nature. Normally the text would be in bold with a new message count indicator next to it, this is no longer displayed. My profile was also configured to request me to open any new received messages so that I don't miss them, this no longer works.

I'm not receiving any email notifications either even though I have ticked this box in my profile and Tapatalk warns me of messages on a very intermittent basis. Out of 6 PMs received, Tapatalk notified me of a single PM last evening.

I have some unhappy forum members as a result that are interested in items I have listed in the classifieds who are thinking I'm ignoring them on purpose.. :-[ I also missed Joel's request for my details for the uDSD promo last week.

Any way this can be rectified or fixed? Any other members with similar issues or is it just my profile?

Thanks
Kamikazi

I've checked your profile and the permissions you have, the ability to send and read PM's is still granted, so its not a permission issue.

Anyone that IS actually sending and receiving PM's ?

Mine seem to be working. Although I can't guarantee all are as I would never know.

The test PM from BWS just now generated a pop up notification, so that looks like its working again.

No issues here when tested.

Working fine for me too. What issues are you having - no notifications, no pop-up boxes, no messages?

Not getting email notifications, but that has been going on for more than a year now, but the pop up notifications and message indicator count doesn't function properly, sometimes it works, mostly it doesn't? What is up with the forum, it really is impossible to manage any classifieds this way...

We badly need the iTrader platform back so I can give feedback on guys who fail to pay or pay late... :fuse:

Guess it's me only. No notifications again today. Is there perhaps any way my profile can be reset in some way, perhaps something's broken on there?
