It is my son's birthday in a few weeks (he is turning 8) and he has indicated that he wants a console. I embarrassingly last played a game 25 years ago so I have very little knowledge of the subject.
I need some brief pointers please:
- XBox 1 vs PS4 in terms of longevity, cost of games etc
- Is one better than the other for an 8 year old i.e. easier to operate (he is very tech savvy)
- Is there perhaps another console to consider?
- Are games made for both consoles or are some specific to one?
- Is this something that you can safely buy secondhand off Gumtree?
