The rubbish bins around where I stay haven't been emptied and have been picked-over several times by vagrants. My wife told me this morning 'they' have burned 7 rubbish trucks and this is the reason there's no rubbish collection.
The caption above is what I heard when I called 021 400 1111 this morning. Compacting refuse trucks cost more than R1million each and I wonder who 'they' are who burned these trucks and what the purpose is of such self-destructive behaviour? Only a few weeks ago, 'they' burned 8 Golden Arrow buses, also a million+ each. The mind boggles.
