I have had some good experiences with these and have bought various for experiments on a budget.
That changed today when a seller sent me the wrong board and instead of a Philips DAC chip its CS4398 based. I tried it out and wish I had not. It's remarkable how bad this one sounds. Is this chip used in any decent sounding implementations?
