wow! Yes, need to save it.

PS: Thanks for the pic. Did you google for it, or you knew where to go?

Not so much appreciation for old buildings in SA.

I'd forgotten - not actually forgotten, it seems there's a special covered archive in my memory...quite weird to recall things sometimes.

PS:  omg, I found skollie's profile pic in a youtube video... https://youtu.be/yWlpu6E4S-g

Not My Dog - Braai Vibes album!!

Rage against machine type sound, but they bring in some weird musical instruments and mix and it's pretty damn impressive, and crazy. I remember buying it in 2003 I think, but some members have long since moved on etc..

In terms of pure voice brilliance -  I have to mention "Riana Nel"  - This lady can SING !!
Here she is doing a Pink Cover in studio ! One of my favourite sound tracks !! She does this even better than Pink in my opinion.

Yep.  She did our wedding's opening dance song.  Brilliant lady, and a very nice person IRL as well.

EDIT:  To note, it was played from CD, she wasn't at our wedding :D

Have really been enjoying two local bands of late - Bottomless Coffee Band (multi instrumentalist folk rock duo who can play 12 instruments between them - in my view more folk than rock) whom I hope to see live over December. The other is Watershed with their new album Harbour.
Music is my escape.

Since these guys launched a few new songs a few weeks ago, I had to share (again, if I shared before):  https://play.google.com/music/m/A3yhkjpbidtqsshfvfdn3qs3o6q?t=Monkeys_in_boots

Refentse FTW

Was never a huge fan of afrikaans music, but this young man and his guitar has me kinda hooked.  CHECK THIS!

There goes the stigma surrounding afrikaans! I take my hat off to this young man

I have just completed a 2 day film shoot in the M1A sound stage at SABC with the Soweto Gospel choir.

Now, firstly, I'm a rock fan and have zero interest in gospel, or vocal groups, but listening to these guys was an amazing experience.

They are seriously talented and pitch perfect. The soloists had amazing voices with the choir backing giving a perfect balance of rhythm and volume.

There is no foot tapping, or hand claps to keep the tempo, they are just spot on.

Amazing !
