Except for those direct through Eksdom. Then no schedule works.IThey cannot even tell me which substation I am on.I use Eksdom Magaliesig which appears to be the most accurate even though I am in Norscot and the Norscot sub station is two blocks from me.They keep on sending me SMS'when the Norscot one goes out but it does not affect me. :nfi:

There is a great Load Shedding app in the App store & play store.

Called "Load Shedding" (surprising that :) ) - the image is a picture of an incandescent globe on a blue background.

Works really well, with notifications too. I haven't had to look at the Eskom site for the last 2 weeks since I installed the app!

Is it possible for Telkom's ADSL line to fail during load shedding? The D-Link modem has worked previously as it's connected to the same sine wave inverter as the PC. I've reinserted the cables and rebooted the modem, no luck. The green ADSL remains red. My mobile can still "talk" to the PC.

Well, I'm no propellorhead but it happened to my ADSL following loadshedding- and it has been problematic for weeks. Ok now that the tech replaced some stuff at the exchange.
When I reported it I was told it was a bulk problem- ie quite a large area.

This is strange. Power has just come on and now the ADSL is working. The exchange is 30m from our plot so I guess it's a  Telkom issue. Just for interest sake, shedding was due to start at 6....... instead it started at 8. Can these cretins even count?

Life goes on.
Hang on I left out Sanral's Gauteng toll roads.Mind you who knows which status they are on.They certainly did not realise the cash for their previous bond issue.

Well that curtails the work day and means I've warmed up the amplifier for nothing...
