Bluray Sucks

So im having friends around this evening for movies. I just hired Terminator Salvation to watch. I dont know why but something just told me i should try the disc. So it loads and then freezes. I have done some homework and now am in the process of dowloading a 21MB file with a firmware update for my Philips Player. So much for just loading and watching , i hope it doesnt brick my unit.
