They can be modded to LED, or even to 6v types, with suitable circuit management. Would have to be a warm white LED though.

Brian, we can talk about that PM-7 if you like but do your homework first, I doubt it's a particularly high-end model.
Here is my original story about it:

King J, I have speakers that I have bought from forum members in the past still lying unopened after a number of years... ;)

Nooiooot...
Seems like all the stuff here will become keepers ? Lol

C'mon sire .. I want the Sansui and the AR.. I don't even know what an AR 100 is ...
Pls don't tell me those are the 1's .. Pls pls don't tell me that... That is a speaker I will exchange all my other carp for ... 😄😄.

Actually to be realistic ( else I'll just want everything you post here ..)...
For my vintage mono sins .. I would like to still get the mono system completed...

a mono Tuner specificly to go with the leak varislope mono amp and Williamson..
I use the vintage isophon speakers with this and the dual 1019...

I actually saw a mono needle for the shure M44 cart it is an n44-3 ( saw it in on ebay ) ,, but I can't purchase from ebay as I don't use credit cards etc .. So can only hope to get a n44-3 also locally somehow ....

Then I actually wanted to ask if there is even such a thing as a mono Tapedeck ?
If so I would like to add one to this set as well...else I would have to be happy with a suitable stereo Tapedeck and just mono strap it...

That will sort out the mono system ... cart, Tapedeck , the tuner and TT..

I will then get the Ferrograph series 6 fixed as that should go nice with the mono vintage set( just I think mine was actually upgraded to a stereo FP16 head  :nfi:)...

Anyway sire ..if you come across anything that you can possibly consider passing on pls keep the above in mind ...

Lovely stuff F_D  I'm falling behind...

@ K_J

You need a Nagra 4.3 mono deck.

Found a pair of unopened Leak Sandwich speakers which I had forgotten about today. Now I have to make place for them (in the bath room??) and move the Leak tuner & amp over, thus creating an opening for one of the Sansui combos.

Brian, the PM-7 is yours if we can somehow get it to you.

I started taking a a part an old garrard tt and mullard mus215 valve. the mono speaker says 5ohm. Strange to see a 5ohm speaker. the old tt is build like a terminator. All gears and metal and bakolite. no belts or plastic. still even has a styllus in tact.

Personally, I think it should be against Forum rules to show something like this, and then say it is a keeper...  :nono:

because now I won't be able to think of anything else!  :'(

I love music - analog and digital. Even listening to the Blues makes me happy. During the day I coach and counsel, after hours I indulge in my second passion - listening to vinyl and restoring turntables. Some I keep, some I sell...

i said it's a 3012, think I was wrong there, seems like a 3009. My 3012 arms are fitted to a Garrard 301 and also a 401 TT.

Unless I have a 3012 that I'm unaware of   :EGrin:
