401 power supply

Good evening.

Does this make sense and would it be a valid upgrade for a 401 or just smoke and mirrors?

I don't need it atm, just interested.

I used to be a power supply sceptic but now after listening to quite a few (turntables) with and without I can say that they definitely make a positive difference....

Now onto the schematic you posted. I am not sure of the provenance of the design. Maybe someone else who knows these things can comment...

You are going to remove all of the characteristics of idler sound from that turntable. I have one of those gadgets with an IEC socket at one end feeding ac to one of my 301's - some kind of ac filter I believe - and that's where I draw the line. And I'm b*ggered if I can hear a "difference".
