Myself and Jaco have decided to start a thread for the Orion Loudspeakers DIY project - check out the website and have a read through the technical specs of the speaker and thinking behind it and see if your not impressed.

I'm just trying to decide if I should go ahead and actually do the project or not and we thought taking you guys along for the ride would be helpful. Here are my quick questions:
(1) How much did it cost you? where import tarrifs applicable? At what exchange rate was it? (hey that's three questions ???)
(2) Did you buy everything from the recommended suppliers?
(3) Did you buy everything at once or did you buy it in stages - thought the woodwork would be first followed by the drivers and electrical side maybe?
(4) Did you purchase the crossover or DIY?
(5) Did you use their wiring harness?
(6) Do you know if a balanced input into his crossover is possible?
(7) Were the revised midrange driver mounting bracket necessary?
;D And finally, Mr. Linkwitz really seems to know his stuff... are the speaker really that good???
