Bought an album by Prince form the above shop in 24/96.Must say that it sounds thin in comparison to the same album that was bought from iTunes.Any ideas  :nutter:

I have been listening to CD vs Hires quite a bit last few weeks. A lot of the time I found the "thin" sound to be the fact that thay changed the dynamics of the original recording. I figured this out by listening to a few vinyl rips and they correspond to the 24/96 track. I will listen bit to Purple rain and hear

I have bought Rush- The Spirit of Radio in flac, not to impressed. Also bought Acoustic Alchemy - Roseland in flac 24/96 and was blown away by the quality. I suppose it depends on the original recording and the era. Downfall of getting these formats is the download size about 1.5gigs for 10 tracks, the price you must pay :OMG:
