Two identical ribbon tweeters were fitted into a system with a crossover at 6500Hz
It was found that there is a slight buzz on the one, most evident when playing solo piano or a vibraphone. It sounds to me like the sound you might get if there were a speck of dust between the moving part of the ribbon and the enclosure
There are screws to detach the front of the unit from the motor assembly, but I don't know if this will allow access to the working parts
