Some weeks back I got an akai M8 recorder with a busted tape deck, so I decided to remove the 2 amps (left and right), and try turn them into a more usable amp for my records; so today I finaly got a chance to test this and I gotta say, man shes sweet.
Not the most powerfull of amps (it only kicks out about 5-6 w per chanel), let me tell you those few watts really count, it is completly silent without a sign of hum, when the song ends she goes dead; it has the tipical valve qualities of wormth and silkyness so I will use her to record onto tape (love tapes).
still need to do some modifications mentioned on the Net and build her a worthy box to live in, but till then i will try and enjoy every further minute I heve with her today.
