Got this beautiful little TOSHIBA Crystal Zephyr 10" desk Fan in for service earlier this week.

I have completely taken it apart and cleaned each part. Removed all old grease from the gearbox and washed all the mechanical parts with turps and then strong detergent. Re-lubed all moving parts with fresh oil and grease.

This fan is a real gem. It's totally over-engineered and has even got a bearing in the neck movement! Wow!

Runs beautifully silent but is quite powerful. Will last another 30 odd years.

I love the base mounted oscillator switch!

Base is die-cast alloy. Motor front part is also die-cast alloy.
