Latest Mad Max has the 'doof guitarist' that is the best part, a Francis Bacon painting character with a flame throwing axe.  AWESOME

Being a Mad Max ( and Tom Hardy ) fan I had very high hopes for the latest installment.

What a load of crap.

But, won more Oscars than the rest of them put together :nutter:

Go figure.

The Revenant.

Leo di Caprio gets an Oscar for getting mauled by a (very crap CGI) bear that wants to be a WWE wrestler (comes back twice to finish the job and loses).  Then gurns his way through the wilderness in search of an Oscar. Three hours later (and some native American spirit guide crap) he emerges victorious with the Oscar within his grasp.

Annie- starring Jamie Fox and Cameron Diaz (hilarious, good story line and the picture quality is also very good, mastered in 4K )

Not a review really but see this if you can...

Dan Cohen, founder of the nonprofit organization Music & Memory, fights against a broken healthcare system to demonstrate music's ability to combat memory loss and restore a deep sense of self to those suffering from it.

Hell or High Water - Because of the banking collapse and dodgy US banks in general, brothers heist the bank that acrewed over their family.  Trump gets elected.

The Founder - Ever wondered why McDonalds is so successful? This is a great film, Michael Keaton as Ray Kroc, the person who took another person(actually two brothers) idea and turned it into a multi-million dollar industry whilst screwing them over.  Very interesting and well made film.

Still worth seeing, even 17 years later and a brilliant soundtrack.

^^^Review - everyone is an addict, everyone gets screwed over by it.

Still remember seeing it when it was a free ticket day at the local Ster Kinekor.  People coming in with kids and leaving in disgust.  By the end of the first half hour of the film I think there were about three of us in the theatre.  What these families had thought they were going to see I have no idea, maybe they missed the 'R-rated, scenes of explicit sexual and drug abuse' label on the posters, or the 'from the writer of 'Last Exit To Brooklyn'' line on the brief description.
