Hi guys,

I've been reading up a bit on the DIY Subwoofer thread. Martin mentions using measurement equipment, but it doesn't seem complete (and I'm lazy...). Basically what I need to know is what do you need to start off measuring speakers. As you guys probably know, I'm a complete NOOB when it comes to speakers so I probably don't know what is the correct questions to ask. I need to know what hardware/software to use. What I have already is the following:
- Shure SM57 mic
- 2 x Samson C02 electret mics
- various Samson dynamics.
- A couple of PCs
- Urge to learn :icon_naughty:

What else would I need to properly analyse an existing speaker system (say, my Jamo 7.6's) and be able to see a response curve? The next step would be to venture into the dark art of xover design...

I have been itching to get myself one of those multichannel audio cards, but I'm not too sure what to get. I don't think my PC onboard audio is any good :gah:
