To use another linux machine run the same script and use the location of the sdcard as /dev/sdX in the following:
Code:
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/SqueezeOnArch/soa-installers/master/create-sdcard-soa-wand.sh
chmod 755 create-sdcard-soa-wand.sh
sudo ./create-sdcard-soa-wand.sh quad /dev/sdX
In both cases once the script completes, remove the card and place in the cpu slot of the wandboard and then reboot. It should automatically download additional Arch Linux and then build then Squeeze on Arch applications. This can take several minutes. The web interface should become available on port 80 of the device once it is built which will take ~10mins and will show on the home page what the current status of build/installation is.

funny thing
i tried this on a card for wandboard quad . the quad wouldn't boot at all 4 times 2 different cards

so i followed this method
http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv7/freescale/wandboard

then
after it had booted up
i followed this guide
Quote
1) Install a base Linux Arch installtion on your machine and connect to it as root (using ssh or otherwise)

2) Update the base software and install minimal files to build applications:

pacman -Syu --noconfirm

pacman -S --noconfirm git base-devel

3) Clone the soa-aur files and start installation

git clone https://github.com/SqueezeOnArch/soa-aur.git

cd soa-aur

./soa-install.sh

(this will take several minutes to download and build the applications for your device)

4) Connect to the device using a web browser to see the configuration interface and install optional components such as jivelite and squeeze server

now its working

ExecStart=/usr/local/bin/squeezelite -n SqueezeWand -o hw:CARD=Vivere384PCMDSD,DEV=0 -p 1

Haven't tried SOA yet, will do so on my 2nd Wandboard when I get my Vivere DACs.

Well, I finally got around to configuring my 2nd Wandboard today, with the idea being that it'll act as a standalone Logitechmediaserver and transport for those times that Gauteng weather makes an ethernet network connected to your Hi-Fi a risky option.  Solution - I installed Squeeze on Arch, configured it via its web interface and voila...

Some pics to show you how simple it is:

Yep, all it needs now is some fancy artwork/ logo design to be donated by Lanties :whistler:

Listened to 24/88.2 and 24/96 content using wireless last night - not a single dropout, switching tracks is instantaneous, flipping between varying resolutions has no artefacts. :2thumbs:

Next I'm going to try the local server with SATA drive attached, following which I'm going to build a custom enclosure to house the Wandboard, hard drive and a small silent fan, probably using rosewood.

Awesome looking forward to hearing of your progress.
Waiting for you and Jes to make something with local hard drive so we can discuss powersupplies in the Diy forum  :giggle:
Which sounds better on the wandboard

This is probably not the right place to ask? Is connecting your wandboard via usb to your dac the best option? If i want to use Spdif how do i go about doing it ? is there special adapters i need

USB is the best option.  To use optical you'd change the output string for Squeezelite to the corresponding output channel.  No sure how you did the install, but if you used Squeeze on Arch then it'd appear in the dropdown list.  Why'd you want to go optical though - it's limited to 24/96?
