Ha, I just used that word yesterday, Stupefying!  Great tips though my wife does not need flowers or wine, lucky me.  Best thing I can do is help with the domestics.  All my toys have to go into my space though, preferable far away from where she can see them...

We get a decent sensitivity, 101dB/2.83V or 98dB/1W

is that for the individual driver or for the complete speaker ie the 3 drivers plus the enclosure

also what tweeter do you use?

It looks like a very nice view from your window. Many wives may ignore the monsters in the lounge with a view like that !!

You bring the Tools, I'll supply the stain and the lacquer, food, wine and beer, whisky too, and a decent bed
for rest, the empty boxes, whitout drivers are around 95Kg.

So, for the Project on the road (not the paint it black thing, that's not my Project) the
lf units are
Faital 8PR200 which i stumbled on when i had to design these for my favourite restaurant:

[
They did sound good so i had to explore a bit more, two 8" equals one 12" but the motor on
two of these equals one 12" with a bl of 22.6N/A not the easiest beast to find.

So they Went in here:

From then on, things changed.

This tiny Little horn loads down to 30Hz so in most domestic Environments
they give good response down to 20.

Not to hard to build:

If the space needed for the speakers normally is occupied by the cat, no problems, there are
ample room left.

In my room, about 60sqM, they do that without rear wall support
but sidewall aprox one mouthwidth away for one speaker, the other about twice
the distance from sidewall.

The cat was the in situ production manager for 19 years, now she´s gone
to see her ancestors.

Senility has its price thou, every morning heading for work i light up a cigarette just Walking out
of the door, as there is no lighter to be found in any pocket i have to walk back in and find one, at
this moment i remember that i promised to take the garbage out so i pick that up to.
At the car i realize that this will work smoother if i also have a car key which i go back and get.
Stepping into the car after work, parked in the sun, somewhere around 70 degrees centigrade inside
in the  Swedish summer i realize that the garbagebag is oozing snug and comfortably in the
backseat, if You've eaten  seafood the day Before that's not good.

So, trying to get back to the threadstart, senility steers You on a rather random course.
As i build almost everything in birchply there´s a lot work to get a half decent end finish.

Woodfiller, waterbased so it absorbs stain almost as the plywood, then sanding, and sanding etc.

Yes, i know, that edge roundig router bit needs replacement, it leaves burnmarks, no problem to
get rid of but surely don´t shorten worktime.
