Also been dealing with Vinyl_INC on BoB and he's equally good.

I must say Vinyl_INC has the best quality vinyl I've found on BoB. I've found on BoB sometimes you get lucky sometime you don't.

I've also bought from these guys -> www.left-legged.com

I've had some good stuff from CD DISCovery in Edenvale, and have just bought from GPOEL as per your recommendation, morkhans.

Collectors Treasury in JHB town has upward of 100 000 LPs, but take a chair and several packed lunches!

If any of you are buying stuff on BoB, do yourself a favour and stay away from a seller called kazwest. Firstly she will accept your payment and then go on holiday and say "didn't think it was important". It will then take 5 working days to ship. She then sends you records that were rated ex & vg. They will arrive covered in grime, noticeable ring and spine ware (even split). Some records will skip. When you give her a negative rating because of this you get a negative rating in return (when all a buyer really needs to do to get a positive rating is pay on time).

Negative ratings will come in the form of: "dont deal with this one complains all the time!" when you report this to BoB admins they will remove it, but she will eventually realise this and then upgrade her rating to the ludicrous: "records were checked by six independant buyers all graded the records vg to ex they all said grading was as stated ". Please do show me where in the name of all that is holy does Goldmine rate a record that skips?  :headbanger:

Replies to my negative ratings make no sense: "Very difficult novice buyer who didnt agree with my grading even though i have been selling for over 25 years ?" Seriously? Is that the only response you have to belated shipping and records covered in grime that skip?

On the plus I at least got a full refund and she paid to ship the records back to her.

Anyway, all I want to say is buyer beware...

/rant off.

Ja, i'll second that. Have bought from her house. Apparently she used to run a shop, now her house is piled full of LPs in dark, humid rooms.
If you receive a revenge rating on BoB, contact BoB directly and explain the situation, they will normally remove your bad rating for you. The Ebay system is much better in terms of rating as you cannot change rating without consent from the other party.

Anyone ever buy or hear of WOWHD.co.uk?

I want to buy some vinyl from them and they offer free shipping to SA with insurance. Sounds awesome, but would like to get some forumites opinion before taking the plunge!

Thanks

Someone on Gumtree - price is reasonable.
