Anything to avoid paying the fare it seems.  Why does the driver not refuse to go?  In Europe the driver would be prosecuted

Nope, that's how bad it's because sometimes there is more then 60+ plus cancelled trains for the day, and there is no other way fro transport then. Seen it last week how the train arrived at station as I drive past and people were hanging like this.

The highlight of the year is always a visit to E-Piphany in Bellville where Hein shows his fantastic (looking and sounding) variety of stunning audio and video toys.  New to us are some valve amplifiers, offering very good value for money.  In the Home Theatre room we were able to view some 4K projected video with sound that rivets you your seat.  There are some new streaming network amplifiers available as well

Our thanks once again to Hein Vercuiel for hosting this meeting.

A good evening - some really good sounding systems from the new "small" B&W speakers to the big daddy Synthesis amps and Sonas Faber speakers. Vinyl featured in two systems and sounded great. A refurbished AR legend turntable sounded very good coupled to a Project Phonobox a Synthesis amp and B&W speakers (not sure of model).  Thanks Hein and to all who attended

I really fancied these Sonus Faber Olympica 1 speakers (seen at e-Piphany), since a late good friend (Norbert Rozendal) had such a pair, which were hooked up to his Krell

Thanks to the Hi-Fi Club for organising the Epiphany visit. The Epson 4K projector was superb. Colours !! WoW. 3x models. R29k & R39k & R110k if I remember correctly.

Gaye was so impressed that she almost agreed that we brick up a lounge window enabling the fitting of a 3m screen !! I should be so lucky.
