Thanks Gents.

Those little KEF LS50s were pretty cool although now I think I need a bigger piggy bank.

Hi

Thanks to Audio Vision Tygervalley Centre for hosting the club last night.  Especially to Jannie Greef and Cassie who went out of their way to make the evening a success.

As announced, all the members who attended will qualify for a more than generous discount for future purchases

Regards

J

I can't express my disappointment enough!  :nono: I went there with high expectations...

Turns out "Cassie" is not a hot chick!

The meeting on 8th May - members describe their creations to a large appreciative audience.  Despite a heavy Cape rainstorm, there were lots of beautiful home-built devices on offer, from a Garrard 301 with 2 arms to a 500 watt 28 volt 2-channel amplifier designed to be fitted into a private jet aircraft.  The speaker in middle row right is a 4" unit fitted to a circular horn.  Amazing sound from a tiny device

A big thank you to participants and making a really successful meeting

Is it possible to have individual pictures rather than a collage of pictures? Especially of the equipment.
The correct statement of individual rights is that everyone has the right to an opinion, but crucially, that opinion can be roundly ignored and even made fun of, particularly if it is demonstrably nonsense! - Brian Cox

The driver is a 2" Sony fullrange in an experimental Cornu spiral built by Richard....Jozua's Ribbons made every amp clip violently and we never had a Krell...fizzing and popping like a bowl of rice crispies those ribbons were....do not play vinyl on them again,EVER....I beg of you...poor Mafioso thought someone had swopped his 301 and Supex for a Crosley with a Sanyo cart...I hope he believed me when I assured him that this was not Candid Camera(or his gorgeous table:)
