Do you reckon these are better than Photobucket?

I have posted the links for what they are worth. Each of these services may offer a slight variation of the next. It is a subjective thing- as in different strokes for different blokes, and all that. Out of the supplied list, I have experienced Imgur and TinyPic with happy results and keep the rest as backup.

PS: I think the main thing here is that these sites do not require a user account i.e. each allows a direct, quick and easy upload that bypasses the need to login before posting images.

Do those 2 allow sites you delete the pics after the fact?

Sorry, I do not recall, because it's been some time since I last used their services. It is probably best to check their sites for the latest info.

Here is a quick look at Imgur's image removal policy: http://imgur.com/removalrequest

Photobucket operates TinyPic. Removal policy: "If you are not a member, you cannot delete images or videos. If you are a member, you can delete your media."

Just register at imgur and you can delete your images. (Why is it a problem to register, you do it everywhere.)

Using Photobucket is much easier today than when first posted by CAD above. From CAD's pic below you only have to click on the IMG tab and it will indicate in yellow : Copied.

Then just paste it in your reply. That's it. [It is not necessary to use the "binoculars"/insert image above" anymore.

Other than that you might first have to right click to "Run this Plugin", then click to copy.

I assume from reading this thread that there's no way to post pics straight from a computer  :nfi:

If you mean attaching an image, then the answer is no. Images take up hard disk space which is expensive. The forum is free and don't have money to buy terabytes of hard disk space to host images.

Only way of having your pic displayed is by pasting a link to a server that already hosts the image. I use postimages.org

You simply drag and drop the image on their website and they give you an URL that you past in your thread. It is as easy as it gets.
