I've recently picked up a set of Vardus 400s to pair with my Cambridge Audio stereo amp that's been lying around gathering dust. So I did a bit of internet research and found the Raspyfi project that can make use of the raspberry pi's I have also gathering dust...
There seems to be a massive amount of talk about DACs that I cant make head or tail of. I need a simple, inexpensive option....
I've read some of the previous threads but the DACs mentioned are all sourced from overseas. I really like the Schiit Modi and for +-R1000, it seems like a good option. Alternatively maybe I just settle for the Asus Xonar U7 or U3 that's good enough for now to get the convenience of the solution up and running.
Would then control the whole solution from my ipad using MPAD.
Are there other inexpensive options?
