I am going to try my first attempt in DIY with the following 3-way speaker with plans for a dual layer cabinet with silica-sand filled innners. I will be using the recommended (for 2 out the 3) focal drivers which is 10w6411, 6W4311 and the TC120D5 tweeter. Going OTT with the caninet using 32mm birch-plywood, 10 mm cavity which is silica-sand-filled and internal (5mm or 6mm) what ever is available in SA with additional bracing and support for the woofer. My intention is too make the cabinet much more pleasing on the eye than is shown here. So I will create a thread and discuss the progress and lessons learned along the way.
