Hi all
I have often seen requests for very simple power amplifier circuits that are easy to understand and build.
If there is any interest, I can take the forum members through some of the steps involved in the design of a power amplifier. Here is the circuit I intend to use as a starting point. It is as basic as it gets. I take no credit for it, since it was invented about fifty years ago.
It has a number of shortcomings, but is a good starting point for analysis. We will start with a few simple calculations and/or guesses for the component values and the run a simulation in LTspice to see how close we get to the intended values.
I will try to keep it simple, but an understanding of Kirchhoff's voltage law is needed.
Shall we continue?
