I baught caps last year and they ended up being used in a different repair... So, I'm contemplating buying some 3300uf instead of the 2200uf units that's in there a.t.m. The thing is I never turn the amp up louder than a comfertable 'loud' listening level. It's not ever needed. The other thing I'm wondering about is the surge pop on turn on? will it be much louder? I have read its quite a bit louder on other forums? From what I understand it might just help with the low end 'control' going with slightly bigger values.
I will also do the preamp section's power caps the same time.
And I will buy some Rubicons. High temp's.
Anybody with any experience on this basic update/grade on these units?
