I bought a PS 3 with the intention to house/access all my media. Once I started playing around with it I realized that there were some limitations. After Googling I found a site that helps with using your Mac or PC as a media server. The software is called Plex Media Server (freeware) which you install on the MAC or PC. Basically allows you to access media on Mac or Pc via the PS3 and its brilliant. You can either link the PS3 to Mac or Pc via WIFI or Ethernet cable. Now I can even play Flac on the PS3.
