Was in Parys again and found this at the same place i got the supersonic from. This one is a National Panasonic RF-947Y made locally by barlows in 1968
In pretty good shape, everything is there and all original but unfortunately it does not work as well as it looks. The sound is heavily distorted at anything over very low volumes, checked all the transistors and all are ok, was a few capacitors that looked a bit suspect so replaced those which did make a slight difference but its still very bad.
Cant find any schematics or service manuals which is making solving the issue harder. Also there were a set of wires tapped off the speaker sticking out the side of the radio, possibly that's when the damage was done
