While I love the HD-800's and how they perform brilliantly with well recorded music in certain genres, its annoying that its really unforgiving on badly recorded music. For that type of music, I prefer to add a bit of EQ, a little more bass, a little less treble and I'm still very happy.
I suppose the LCD-2's might be the solution, haven't heard them before, but I've read they're large and and can be uncomfortable after a while, the HD-800's are soo comfortable, despite their size, you just forget you're wearing them. Don't think I'd give up the soundstaging and comfort when I can EQ out the lack of bass and excessive treble in certain types of mucic. Anyone here with LCD-2's?
