So me and a friend decided to build a sensory deprivation tank, (AKA Floating tank)
No we do not use it with drugs like many others... simply the ultimate way to relax and 100% clear your mind.

The rules:
  • No Light (easy)
  • No Sound (Not so easy)
  • water inside needs to match your skin temp(fairly easy to regulate.)

I need to find ways to block external sounds from entering the chamber.
My 1st thought was just to cover it with damping panels, But I suspect, this will not work if the panels are attached to the tank in wich i will be.

Any other ideas?
Chamber will be 2.5 meters long, 1.5 meters high, and 1.5 meters in width.
Those are inner dimensions. Obviously with sound blocking it will be a little more.

Any ideas on ensuring near 100% sound isolation?
The slightest vibration will be picked up since you lie semi submerged in a solution of heated water and epsom salt.
Think about how you can hear footsteps in the house if you lie submerged in the bath.
