I thought I'll simulate and have a look at two designs of  :notworthy: Jean Hiraga. Both these circuits were published in "L'Audiophile" in the late 70's early 80's.

I have read very good reviews of people who have implemented this in their systems. If and when I decide to convert from digital source to analog I would certainly start here. Some have started here and stayed here.

First the circuit: The MC stage is made up of BJT's for their low noise attributes and then the RIAA filter stage makes use of 12AX7 or ECC83 Triodes.

The complete circuit was very easy to implement with no fine tuning or adjustments other than P1 that is adjusted to ensure 0Vdc on the input where the Cartridge is connected. This circuit just worked from the first time I pressed the RUN button.
