My AXIS was needing a push to get going and the 45 rpm light did not come on nor did it change speed. I replaced all the caps on the motor board with new ones. The caps are all common values that can be bought at electronic shops for very little.
It is an easy DIY job for anyone who can solder, just take a few pics first so you get the polarity right when replacing them.
My deck is now working perfectly.
