R.I.P: PlayStation 2 in Japan.

The PlayStation 2 has reached over 150+ million units sold as of November 21, 2011. Sony has stated that there are 10,828 titles available for the system and that 1.52 billion PS2 titles have been sold since launch. The console was succeeded by the PlayStation 3 in 2006.

On December 28, 2012, Sony ceased production of PlayStation 2 consoles in Japan only.

Although they stopped production, stock for PS2 Games and Consoles seems full in most shops nationwide.
I feel somewhat happy but I'm also sad, this is the end of an era of Gaming for most of us.
