I scored a old Pioneer Sub box with speaker yesterday one of tose you get in a surround system, it's got a 6inch driver rated at 8ohms that's in perfect condition.
What happened here as i can see is that the main amplifier is housed in a chamber underneath the sub box and for some reason the previous owner fiddled with it and blew it up!

I'm going to fit my own amp and connect it on my pc to form a nice 2.1 system.
One problem though is that i don't know the power rating of this speaker..... on the back it has one long number and the 8ohm rating but it looks quite powerful.

Any idea guys where i can get the rating or should i just use a common wattage amp?
like say 70w rms?
