Hehehe, if you come from rhe land of cheap booze, you need blurry vision at first.
Jamesons on special will set you back about R400, as will Johnny Red. The expensive stuff is relatively speaking not that much more expensive though.

It's a funny thing; I'm generally looking at about the same eye-watering prices for the cheap stuff… but up the range a bottle of Lagavulin 16 will only set you back about 820 zars.

Currently I'm rather a fan of this, Glenfiddich 15 Year Old Distillery Edition.

I was a little nervous of the 51% alc.vol, and while it is obvious enough, it makes for a great Single Malt Scotch Whiskey.

It might not be for everyone, but it's working for me right now...

I found a liking to black and white as my every day whiskey.

Someone brought over some Three Ships over the weekend, the 5YO one.  Tastes like smoke.  Not my favourite by a long shot.

Good stuff. It will come back but not as a 12yr. It will be Elijah Craig small batch. If you keen on some more, the Liquor City on Northcliff Corner has some left

Makro Wonderboom has a Yoichi at R400, decent dram at half the usual price :dop:

That Glenmorangie quinta ruban is indeed delicious . I do prefer it during the winter months though .
