We are losing some "Kentness" with the poetry, all the punctuation bothers me, this is what we are used to..which is poetry in itself..

Having recently qualified with a degree in psychology from Harrington University, and seeing my beloved public suffering from the ailments of a tough economy not to mention a slightly stagnant forum,I thought I would start a little column offering advice on life matters, audio neurosis, depression, anxiety, new purchases advice etc, pretty much anything really....just think of me as a South African Oprah minus the incest and wealth....for this to work I can respond to questions via pm if your anonymity is important to you or those who are straight can just post right here and I will answer all questions as best and honestly as I can....no matter how small(death in the family, infidelity etc) or large(5yr old constantly walking past speaker destroying soundstage or wife forgetting to put your feelings and needs ahead of hers etc)...please share with me and our forum brothers and Judy and I will guarantee you'll feel better....now fire away.

So to make it real, it should look like this :), more urgency!

The Spinning Wheel,The spinning wheel,Tosses truth..In a revolution,Altering youth. The mud the mire ...The spit the sand ,Of every turn ,Cut blood cut hand,...Poorly turning weakly holds ,The dreams of greatness lost and sold,The spinning wheel now square won't turn ..Rest of the earth that made you burn.

I know Sean..(and thanks Shonver and Adie)....mojo lacking flow and such.....i will try a 50 shades when Urshies's well off family leave in 3 weeks after living in the flat for free....Anybody have a painless death concoction for me?...this world serves to teach me only one thing...nothing is harder to overcome than one's own stupidity and the day it dawns on you it seems to continue dawning on you every day thereafter.

What Sean said, only...

The Spinning Wheel, the spinning wheel, tosses truth in a revolution, altering youth. The mud the mire the spit the sand of every turn , cut blood cut hand. Poorly turning, weakly holds the dreams of greatness lost and sold. The spinning wheel now square won't turn. Rest of the earth that made you burn.

What Adie said, only...

The spinning wheel
Tosses truth
In a revolution
Altering youth.

The mud the mire
The spit the sand
Of every turn
Cut blood cut hand

Poorly turning weakly holds
The dreams of greatness lost and sold
The spinning wheel now square won't turn
Rest of the earth that made you burn

More poem than Gonzo this, I think :comfort:

Here's another,i know I have Edgar A's "The Raven" in me but till then here's...

 "Across the Room"

Across the room is more than she
More than us and more than we.

At table eight sits twisted fate
Once starry eyed now belittled hate
His meal tonight a seafood stew
He savages prawn and thinks of you.

Bloody Mary at the bar
Is deep in thought and drifting far
On mantis leaf waits death for he
Who fingers pleasure but does not see.

Across the room is simply she
Simply us and simply me
Mary fed me from my plate
A prawn a twist and a little hate.

"Across the Room"

Across the room is more than she...

This might just have some merit.

We-ell, he is American..... Whenever I hear Americans I am reminded of The Quiet American.
I do think it has more than just "some" merit.

I still like your unpunctuated stream of consciousness prose Andre.
This is more mature, measured and careful.
Perhaps you should revisit some of your earlier rambles and cross-pollinate?
Just a thought...

Charlotte.

Eat from my hand Charlotte
Taste bitterness,dont grin.
The chapel light is flickering
Electric is your sin.

I call upon your demons Charlotte
The flesh,the bone,now drink.
Fill right now dioxide space
The thoughts you think,dont think.

Take right now your hand dear Charlotte
Trace up from beneath my knee.
If pleasure does not lead you there
Forgiveness you wont see.

shatter the shell and raise the swell
the crispness and swiftness of a  southeaster fell
battered blue lips craving summers breast
the raspberry round,the milk,the nest

an inner thigh by which to sigh
the ears for tongues in which to lie
beneath,between,us too are spun
the speedqueen and the coin
together
one.

sifting through nostalgia
not in form but ingrained
upon this map so twisted
to retrace again.

the displacement that i felt
the lump and nausea
in my own vomit I knelt
as i wept for her.

gracious god you turn me
from fruit to worm
which horrors have i dealt thee?
what perversions must i learn?
