Are Earphones repairable?
« on: October 04, 2012, 09:53:03 AM »
Greetings
My Bose noise cancelling earphones just went quite (dead). I was wondering if earphones can be sent in for repairs. If so where can I take them?
 I am in Jozi

Check the batteries?

Not powered? Then they aren't noise-cancelling.
Maybe you need to look harder for the battery?

It has happened!
I got a fancy "totally broken" Sangean all-band for almost nothing - turned out the memory backup battery was dead.
Also a digital multimeter - claim was the "microprocessor was broken - because it made rubbish measurements": turned out the rotary knob was put back on pointing the 'wrong way', so it was measuring a different parameter to that which the knob pointed to!

Mzwakhe - do not feel bad. I did not know this either until a couple of months ago. The other day I told/asked Gearslave to use a R230,000 speaker box and rip out all the " bad parts"  and replace it with possibly " worse parts" to get to the sound he think he may like.

We all make our name poephol sometimes.  :BWAHAHAH: :BWAHAHAH: :BWAHAHAH:
