Can't believe those used to sell at R19.95 (or was it 19/9/6 or 9/19/6d) when brand new!

Most probably AC/DC, in other words no AC Mains transformer, so the cabinet enclosure at the back and also the power cord need to be in good nick for reasons of safety.

EDIT: Hmmm... open yer eyes, F_D! It is stated above as AC/DC, and the U-Series valves were used for such sets. So it might just have a resistive cord fitted or a big dropper resistor inside the cabinet.

Hello Tom,
What sort of condition is it in? Working perhaps? I used to listen to one as a kid.
Thanks,
Sten.

HI Sten

He says it works, but I will go there tomorrow with a plug and give it a test run for you, no problem
