« on: May 10, 2012, 08:28:11 AM »
Midrange driver on my 17 yr old Cantons stopped working over the weekend , Canton has no spares and told me to send it to Germany to be fixed. Took it to  Resonant Frequency (Rian) Tel : 021 - 919 6073 on Monday and got a call back Yesterday  (wed) to come fetch , turned out it wasn't blown but needed new pigtails - total repair  cost R100...........works perfectly now
Excellent old school service and pricing from an old school guy..

I've known him since the late '80s. You're going to struggle to find someone with more experience in his line of work. Standup guy. 8)

...happy to hear Rodney....i wish you could have seen my face when i first laid eyes on those speakers and heard them a good few years ago.....they are brilliant and belonged to a German gent who sold them for some beer money ;D....we were happy to oblige of course. ;D...glad to see you're still enjoying them....they dig DEEEEP!

Best speakers I have ever heard in my place Andre - and yes , the bass is tight, deep and prodigious , just the way I like it :)
I just wish I had my Bryston back from repair to really give em the rodgering they deserve - the 125 watts monoblocks I have are good , but tiddlers compared to a torpedo.

In a world of negativity this a refreshing and positive post.

I am sure that Riaan will get good business from this and deservedly so.

Thanks for the heads up Rodney, could you please post his contact details...I have some speakers needing repair
Pity the man who says:"It cannot be done", for he is likely to be interrupted by another man doing it!

Hi Guys,

Thank you for all your support!

I'll see if I can get our two technicians onto the forum, I believe there is nothing they don't know about speakers.

I endorse the vote of confidence fully - Riaan refurbished basss drivers and reconnected internal wiring on a pair of Mission 770 speakers for me last year. Gave it new life and it si srill working perfectly doing duty as TV amplification system. reasonable costs and good workmanship - just get him when he is not doing hundreds of Kms on his bicycle.

He is not on the forum yet, will try and get him on here some time. ;)

You can also get in touch with Elsa now, if you can't reach him, or if he is over booked.

The email app under our website's contact menu, leave them a message or book appointments...

And yes, he really... loves riding on his bike!

Hmm, what seems to be the link's problem, I tested it from various terminals.  :Whoohoo:
Perhaps it could be your browser?

The site is working fine on Chrome.   :whistler:

Try clearing your cache it fixes most problems.

So time to revive this post. Yesterday I pop in by Riaan at Resonant Frequency to refoam a REL 12" sub for me. Really nice Afrikaans Oomie and we had a lekker chat about cycling after he find out that I'm a avid cycles to. Some nice speakers and subs standing in his repair shop. Will keep posted when I get the sub back and will take some photos of his work shop.
