Panasonic HD Plasma TV repair
« Reply #77 on: September 27, 2017, 01:06:37 PM »
Mods please move to appropriate section, if needed.

Just in case anyone still owns and uses those beautiful Panasonic Plasma TV's, which need or will need repair, this is for you.
I still own a Panasonic Plasma TH-P42V20P. Some months ago, the unit had a power surge and stopped working.
Long story short, insurance steered us to the Panasonic repair agent in Durban.
Beyond repair was the outcome. :nfi:
Months later found a local tech on eBay based in Pretoria. Worked for Panansonic and did repairs.
Drove to him. The guy diagnosed the issue and had it working, after several hours on the same day.
Amazing to watch him work and see the damage the Durban cowboys did on the set's innards :fuse:

His name is Alex and can be contacted via email asakelliou@discoverymail.co.za

Any recommendations for a blown tweeter repairer in Johannesburg?

Merle Doubel, presently in Midrand,
Willie Louw in Centurion.
I heard of another guy in Cambridge Crossing area (Witkoppen, close to Rivonia), no contact details unfortunately.
